My dears … I fear it has come to the end of the line.
What else is there to say?
Well, I suppose I owe you more than that, dear diary, but truly there is nothing more to say.
It just occurred to me, about half an hour ago actually, that I could stop. And not finding the thought overwhelmingly abhorrent, it came to seem like a good idea. Which is, in itself, I think, argument enough for stopping. Ye Gods, I sound like Tithonus.
I’ve been writing here for what feels like a long time. And my life trails behind me like a tail, gathering dust and dirt and dragging ever heavier. Yes, indeed, it’s time to stop.
I started writing because I wanted to remember. And I wanted to understand. Now I do understand, at least more than I did, and I rather want to forget. I’ve moved so far beyond who I was when first I started writing and along the way I’ve upset a lot of people with this in various ways, hopefully not maliciously but certainly heedlessly. And I think it’s time to stop hurting people with heedless words. Also I’ve become more conscious of audience than ever I intended. What began as a mirror has become just another reflection.
It’s time to cut myself free.

I’m not sure if I will continue elsewhere, but if I do it will here.

Just in case anyone reads here who does not read already Will (unlikely, considering I spent significantly less time on LJ than I do on Diaryland), here is the visual detritus of Now We Are Six. Check out my digital camera wielder skillz. Or lack thereof.
There was A Party, mainly characterized by a lack of floor space.
There was jelly mainly characterized by being damnably weird on account of having been made at the last minute without vodka and in the freezer.
